Types of Fine Wine Storage & Coolers

What Types of Wine Coolers Are Available?

The current offering of wine coolers currently available in the wine refrigeration market is very much wide and varied. The market has become very saturated with so many different makes and models and therefore it can be difficult to spot a well manufactured and engineered model.

Elite Wine Refrigeration is a leader in the UK wine refrigeration market with a very impressive client range of clients and models alike. They have been involved in the distribution of wine coolers for many years with a product offering to sell only the highest quality wine coolers and units across the UK.

Freestanding Wine Coolers

Freestanding wine coolers are exactly that; their design is such that they have a few inches of ventilation space around them. They can be set up in a number of ways to be able to cater for a great range of customer requirements. Some coolers are designed for long-term storage and feature solid doors, fixed metal shelving for harder wear and tear and seamlessly store the wines correctly.

An example of an aging cabinet is this Avintage DVA305G. There are also freestanding units which have both service and storage in mind. These coolers tend to have fully UV treated glass doors and dual temperature zones so you can have some wines at storage temperature and some at serving temperature.

Built In Wine Coolers

Built-in wine coolers are aimed more at the service market and user rather than long term service. They can be used for long-term storage and can often be seen in hotels and restaurants to display the finest wines on their wine list.

Usually installed in a kitchen or mini bar, they usually have a lower storage offering than and can be installed in the smallest of gaps and create an eye catching design in a modern kitchen.

An example of a built-in wine cooler is this Dunavox DAU-17.58DSS, designed to fit neatly into a 300mm wide kitchen cabinet it has a small capacity of just 17 bottles but is one of Europe’s only dual zone 300mm wide wine coolers. Regardless of what type of built in cooler you need, there are a great range of different models all of which can fit into any space, size and dimensions.
